Robust storage for shared vnode hosts.
It occurred to me the other day as we were adding a couple more d820 nodes to the shared node pool, that using 6 HDs in an LVM VG (essentially a RAID0 configuration) is a Really Bad Idea. Since the LVM setup on these hosts lasts essentially forever and having 6 drives in a RAID0 significantly increases the probability of failure, no good will come of this.
So we should convert our shared nodes to use either a RAID1 (if only two drives) or a RAID5 (if more) to increase the likelyhood that we will notice a problem before total failure ensues.
