Continue implementing NS functionality for issue #38 and issue #58. At

this point the CM is the sticking point and some of the remaining items; we
will need to start adding new functionality to the CM. Also need to deal
with blockstores and bridge nodes. (we support those in the CM, but might
need some more work in the CM).
