Linux frisbee MFS not properly wiping meta-data from previous experiment?
Based on a single occurrence, it appears that the new Linux MFS is not properly doing zapdisk
to wip assorted possible meta-data blocks (for ext, ufs, lvm, zfs, etc.).
I had previously used mkextrafs
on test1
nuc1
and the experiment got swapped out. When it was swapped back in, partition 4 had a non-zero type:
Device Boot Start End Sectors Size Id Type
/dev/nvme0n1p1 * 2048 33556479 33554432 16G 83 Linux
/dev/nvme0n1p2 33556480 39847935 6291456 3G 0 Empty
/dev/nvme0n1p3 39847936 46139391 6291456 3G 82 Linux swap / Solaris
/dev/nvme0n1p4 46139392 1000215215 954075824 455G 83 Linux
but there was no filesystem.
